19 Things I Learned at 19

Hello everyone! Hope your day is well! I have decided to write this post as a reflection. I am deeply saddened by the attack at Manchester Arena. My heart, thoughts, and prayers are with every single person involved in that attack. I decided to write this because since seeing what has happened on TV and on social media, it has made me think about the things I have learned at 19 years old. 1. Always carry money. (You never know what you will use it for.) 2. Use your camera. (Whether on your phone or an actual camera, take pictures of everything. They are precious memories.) 3. Answer your phone when you're parents call. (They just want to see what you are doing, if you are okay, or if you need anything. Don't hate them for doing this, they are the reason you are here today.) 4. Open your mind. (Open your mind to new things, you never know, you may like those new things.) 5. Open your hands. (Open your hands. Someone may need help getting up.) 6. Take a stand. (Be gentle

Brows on brows

Image
Hello, everyone! I am writing about different brow products that I have used and what I have thought about them. I have dark brows and so I try different dark colors until I find one that is closest to my eyebrow color. 1. NYX Tinted Brow Mascara  I actually received these from Christmas and I was really excited when I tried them out. I used the shade "espresso" which is a deep brown color. This brow mascara tamed my brows and left them tinted without looking like they were overdrawn. When I eventually ran out, I bought more at Ulta and this brow mascara is very affordable.  2. Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz  I bought this product when during Ulta's 21 Days of Beauty when at K's wedding. I love this product, it is creamy and smooth. It does not clump. I did buy the wrong color, I needed something darker. I bought "Chocolate" the first time. I purchased it for $10 but the regular price is $24.   These are my favorite brow products that I

My Mental Health Story

Hello, everyone. As you may know it is Mental Awareness Week. This is me telling my story about my own mental health story. I have anxiety and panic attacks. Mental health is something that is near and dear to my heart. As someone that has suffered from anxiety and panic attacks, I know what it is like to experience something that is constantly scrutinized. Also, from the perspective of someone studying a health care profession, it is serious. Since I was a young child, I have always consumed and overthought every single thought I had. It was something that I hated but as I grew older, I began to live my life this way. As a young child, I was the one that stayed behind, who never really wanted to do anything because I was afraid of getting a panic attack. As I have grown, I have done things that have made more memories and have made me happier. Granted, there have been numerous times where I have felt that everything I have done has gone to nothing and there is no turning back from t

A College Freshman's Guide to Studying for Finals

Hello, everyone! Finals are right around the corner, literally. And if you are like me, you are reacting with so many emotions. Stress, excitement, panic, anxiety, etc. Even if you feel like you are not ready, we all have to face them. I believe that everyone has their own way of studying for exams and one should utilize that. If you have a different way of studying from your friend, study in the way that benefits you in the best way possible. Here are some helpful ways to study for finals! 1. Go to the library if you can. If you do go to the library, you will not be the only one, seats and study rooms will be filled with groups or individuals studying. 2. Rewrite your notes. If you are a person that types your notes, the best thing would be to write the main points on paper. If you write them in different colors, you may remember the material a bit better. 3. Flashcards! I can not emphasize flashcards enough. Whether it be paper flashcards or a flashcard app, it can help you to s

I have decided to join Twitter. Why? I thought it would help me stay up to date on all the things I love, and get others to read this blog. I do not expect much but it seems exciting. Eventually, I plan to post my pictures I have taken, I am still remaining anonymous but I take pictures of practically everything. My twitter is @ThatAutumnGirl1 Hopefully, I will be able to show my photos that I have (this post will be coming later). Any comments, questions, concerns, or anything? Comment down below or message. :) That Autumn Girl
